What is tuckpointing?
Tuckpointing is a form of masonry that involves grinding out and re-sealing the seams on a brick structure with new mortar. Harsh weather conditions such as wind, rain, snow and ice can cause the mortar between bricks to deteriorate over time. This deterioration can result in cracked, loose or missing mortar between your bricks. This will allow moisture to enter into your brick chimney, steps, and porch, eventually resulting in the need to have them replaced. Having your bricks tuckpointed will protect your home from deterioration and eliminate the need for replacement which can cost thousands of dollars. Tuckpointing is less than half the cost of replacement.
SIDEWALK LEVELING
Don't Replace, Re-level!
Uneven sidewalks are a very common and often dangerous occurrence in the Cleveland area. Rapid temperature changes, tree roots, and faulty sewer lines can cause once level sidewalks to turn into dangerous trip hazards.
Most concrete leveling companies will drill holes into your sidewalk blocks in order to pump them back up. These holes are often unsightly and can weaken the integrity of your concrete.
We use a superior method that is more labor intensive, but requires NO HOLE DRILLING. We lift each side of each block manually in order to evenly spread new materials underneath the entire sidewalk.
Sealing
An additional layer of defense against moisture.
In addition to tuckpointing, we offer the option to have your brick structures sealed with high-grade weatherproofing sealant. The sealant we use is a water repellent that prevents moisture from penetrating your chimney, porch, steps, etc. This added layer of defense against moisture may be just the thing needed to protect your bricks from another harsh winter!
